perlfectsearch v3.37
Perlfect Search 3.37 is an integrated, general purpose, site indexer and search engine. It comes as a pair of disctinct scripts. The indexer, that automatically, scans and indexes a web site, and the search engine, a cgi script that serves search queries for keywords over the index, and displays results pages in html, in a standard format including title, description and relevance ranking for each matching document. Advanced features include stopwords, a potent exclude mechanism and a handy automatic installation and configuration utility. From the 3.0 version very advanced search and indexing features are implemented and essentially a complete rewrite has be done. Here is a list of things to look for in the new version: * new indexing system, using a document vector model, for even more accurate results; * internationalization (i18n), perhaps the feature most asked for; * faster and more expandable searching algorithm; * much smaller memory usage allowing the indexing of vast collections of documents; * improved autoconfigure utility included.
PhpDig is a http spider / php search engine with a MySql database in backend. Indexing after indexing, PhpDig builds a glossary with the key words found in indexed pages. On a search query, it displays a result page with documents which contains the search keys, ranked by occurence.
